Recipe: Slow Cook Beef Short Ribs

Ingredients:

  • 1-2kg Grass Fed Beef Ribs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1-2 tbsp oil
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 cups apple juice
  • 1-23 cups pearl onions

Method:

  • Put flour, paprika, chilli powder, salt and pepper in a bag then add the ribs and shake to coat.
  • Heat frypan on medium, add oil and sear ribs on all sides then transfer to slow cooker.
  • Add the beef broth and apple juice to the frypan and bring to a simmer whilst continuously stirring.
  • Pour sauce over ribs in slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours.
  • Add the pearl onions when 2 hours cooking time remains.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes.
